So far, despite looking in several grocery stores:
No salt-substitute (can get low-sodium salt)
No crushed red pepper
Pleasant pluses
Mussels are under $4 NZ per kg.
Other observations
You can get refrigerated milk here at a reasonable price. I have been other places where shelf-stable milk or powdered are the only options (Cambodia), or fresh milk is pricey (Aruba).
